I found the baits to be unsuitable for onions and potatoes. This made quite a mess and I ended up using a regular cheap old potato peeler to get it done in less time. I was hoping this would work well. I cook a lot of food for the homeless every weekend, hoping it would be more efficient. I returned it with no problems.

Poor quality weak product. The small grater was crumpled when I first used it to grate parmesan cheese. The release mechanism of the grater sticks after use and is very difficult to pull out. Cheap plastic doesn't wash well. It's probably better to spend the extra $10-$15 to get a genuine KitchenAid-branded version.

I had another chopper attachment that fell apart in less than 9 months, contacted customer service and is no longer sold on Amazon so I went on the hunt . The other is because we use a lot of cheese and I hate shredding it by hand. This shredder was affordable and had good reviews, so I gave it a try. That's great! Comes with a cleaning brush. Grinds cheese easily. The quality seems much better than others I've had so I hope it lasts longer!

Overall I really like this new accessory for my KitchenAid. However, I feel like it's not very well done like many of the other KitchenAid picks I have. Blade heads that go inward sometimes get stuck, yeah you're not paying attention. So make sure you cut off the skin if any type of parmesan, asian or roman parmesan contains it when you use it. Also, go slow and don't overfill the blade, it tends to fill up quickly and the cheese can stick.

Shredded carrots very well but potatoes failed. The discs simply got stuck in the cylinder and were difficult to remove. It's easier to just cut with your hands. He also just chopped the onions, which made my eyes water more than slicing them by hand, so I'd say it's better for hard veggies and cheeses than softer ones.
