Worked great. for water heater

Installation is not as difficult as I thought. The tank worked great and came with everything needed for a replacement.

The fit of the tank was perfect. Will buy again anytime

I have ordered tanks from major van parts dealers and this tank is the same as theirs. This is the same quality tank you will get anywhere. The fit of the tank was perfect. I will buy again without hesitation.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • I will add later

so it was perfect. Difficult drip

Wanted to add power to my old 1973 Atwood, fits with slight insulation change and cut out needed for heater element. I needed a new tank anyway so this was perfect. Not easy to get in, but easy if you have the tools. Need to add proper electrical connector, works great!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Unnecessary features

Good fit, great deal.

Fits right! Supplied with electric heating element, thermostat, pressure/temperature safety valve and glued-in insulating elements with which the holes on the outer shell can be glued. I used a plug for the propane thermostat hole as I didn't want to plug it in and not use it. The insulation seems to be working fine. Used to replace the tank with aGC6AA-8P.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some flaws

Long wait for the right tank

Atwood put the wrong tank in the wrong box. Had to provide photos of the wrong tank and box to prove my issue. It took three and a half weeks to fix the fault and during that time there was no hot water. These round snap rings are very difficult to assemble. Bevel or file to tighten it. Was dissatisfied with the long wait for a solution and delivery time. So slow. The new tank works great and I have hot water again.

Pros
  • Absolutely brilliant!
Cons
  • Some problems

Fits just right

Came in a damaged box and had to straighten both connectors before I could install it. It's a little different than the tank I had on my 1991 Atwood water heater, but it fits well. All electrical equipment was installed so there was no need to change it. The rings that attach it to the outer trim aren't easy to install, but they will work if you get it right. Overall it took me about 2.5 hours from start to finish so not too bad. Now I have hot water again, just in time to winterize my camper…

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

They don't make it the way they use it.

Bought to replace the one that was leaking in my caravan. 4 months everything was fine. Then I had no hot water. Problem. Well as I was about to put the element in I saw that one of the bolts holding the electrical box firmly against the tank was broken. Well, if the box isn't snug against the tank, the thermostats won't be able to work there. So now I had to replace the thermostats and adjust them so that the box was snug against the box. Lasted about 3 weeks. Again there was no hot water. I…

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Minor problems
