🔥 Atwood 91602 Gas Control Pilot Valve: Superior Control for Gas Appliances Review

bought a camper this year PO said the hot water worked unfortunately I didn't check. It turned out that the gas tap was defective. I ordered this device and installed it, everything worked immediately.

2 months worked fine. Accidentally walked past a water heater and saw flames erupting from the vent. The valve is on fire! The valve must have had an internal gas leak. None of the lines I installed were leaking (photo attached).

We used it to replace our Atwood 91043. The supplied fittings must be used for this application. We used some great Oatey white thread sealant and we're back in business! It's a much better device than the one we replaced.

Does what it's supposed to and does it well. Our kettle has never worked so well. I didn't even realize he wasn't realizing his potential. The three of us can now take a shower before the hot water is all gone. There used to be only one shower, in front of the new control valve. The indicator lamp also lights up when it is windy. Not quite suitable for G6A-7 water heaters. Provided that the 45 degree flare fitting does not line up with the existing gas line connection in the water heater. Use the 90 degree elbow that screws into the valve and the 90 degree flare that is designed for 10 gallon water heaters and the faucet will line up perfectly. The rest is easy work. Bought for service work. There were major problems with the flame control until we finally replaced the air intake with an air intake from the old unit with a small modification. Disappointing because this unit was listed as a replacement for an older model and it didn't fix the issue so we spent a day testing it and looking for any non-existent issues. I don't blame the seller for that. The price would have been great if we hadn't had a problem with the flame monitor.

I bought this to replace my 91601 on my 84 Shasta with a 6 gallon hot water tank. I installed it today, looks like it was successfully replaced.
