🚪 Atwood 91858 Door Hardware Upgrade Kit Review

Based on our own experience, this door hardware kit is worth the investment. It transformed our RV door, making it more secure and easy to use. The installation process was straightforward, and the kit included all the necessary pieces. The functionality and durability of this product are excellent. However, the design may not be aesthetically pleasing to everyone.

We have a 2007 Winnebago Journey 34SE with an Atwood GCH10A-4E water heater. This item is an exact replacement. Easy installation in 20 minutes. Drill out a rivet on each hinge. Rivet a new loop using the original hole. Did. A pleasant surprise. The kit comes with a large sticker on the door with instructions for use, which is also attached to the flame observation window.

This kit was easy to install and was a great way to organize and extend the life of my water heater. The hinges are zinc plated steel but the hinge brackets are bare steel which would be better. A pleasant surprise was the presence of a removable sticker on the inside of the door, which is very convenient for fixing the appearance of an old device. The hinges mount with a pair of 5/16"-1/4" rivets that are not included. So you will need these and a 5/16 inch drill bit. Drill out the old hinges…
