A day saved on HVAC

Thought I needed at least a motor assembly or a whole new unit and found what looked like a diode in a switch. It worked with a short circuit but decided it was better to replace it in terms of safety and price. Bonus - I was actually able to clean the fan and it looks and works like new.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Available in white only

I wish I had more than 30 days

So I bought this switch in September 2020, it has been used several times so today I go to the camper because the trailer was installed, it was like stale smell To get some fresh air, I turned on the fan and the switch doesn't work. I know it's the switch because if I move the switch to the right I can get it to start the fan, but it won't stay on. If I order from the manufacturer I would get a 1 year warranty, here at Revain I have 30 days. Now I will order from the manufacturer.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Simple and easy fix when your fan stops working

During the elimination process it was discovered that the fan speed switch on my RV had failed. This switch is an exact replacement (so no wonder which wires go where), it only took a few minutes to install, and once power was restored the fan worked like new again. Getting there is easy enough - remove the screen, then undo the screws holding the bezel in place and it all (should) fall off, allowing you to remove the spade connectors from the back. I am very happy that my 25 year old fan is…

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Not sure
