Atwood K1140 09 Manual Lift Knob Review

The item shown was not received. I ordered this pen because the barrel is metal, both in the picture and in numerous customer testimonials. The pen they sent me was a solid black plastic, very cheap and light. Sent back for a refund.

As mentioned wears out fairly quickly. I bought this to replace an original 10 year old pen and it broke almost immediately. I kept tightening the screw to make it work a little longer, but now it's completely broken and unusable. Instead of buying this obviously inferior replacement, I need to find something else.

UPDATE 8-5-18 Used it 2 times on a camping trip. Open it once and close it every time. The second time, he began to slip and expose himself. I knew it was plastic and tried to protect it by carefully turning it over and not opening it. Why plastic gears? The part it connects to has metal gears, so that's what it should be. It's a waste.
