Atwood Mobile Products 91603 Assembly Review

I bought this for my campervan when I was 1000 miles away and wasn't sure if this was the right part. When I got there I was pleasantly surprised. I removed the old one and installed this with no problems. 20 minute job and I really didn't know what I was doing. Now I have hot water! Works perfectly!

I got this to replace the one where the pilot failed after turning on the heater and it fitted perfectly. Be careful not to over-bend the copper tubing as it is brittle. It seemed short compared to what I have, but after careful straightening it connected well. Try to study existing ones and plan ahead. After testing I noticed a slight leak and made sure the tube was square to the nut, tightened and rechecked for leaks.

Nothing to say about the product other than it is a direct replacement for what was on the tag. The instructions were clear. I broke the control tube while removing the water heater because it was over twenty years old and I had to replace the gas valve in the process. Nobody here had a pilot tube so I had to buy both because it comes with the kit.
