🔌 Atwood SparkSense Electrode (93868) Review

Fixed cold start and start problem. It started up almost immediately and shut down 4 or 5 times before continuing to burn. The packaging was difficult to open (vacuum packed and stuck to fragile parts). I should have downgraded it one star but I'm VERY glad it worked out so well.

These systems are designed for fast production and easy installation. Nobody said anything about reliability or repairability. This silly detail came with a spare screw - junk. How difficult would it be to have a mounting bolt and nut?

The part shown, ordered and paid for is an OEM Atwood part. The part that was supplied by Revain instead is a counterfeit part made by an unknown company and does not match the picture or the OEM part. The connector at the end is different and does not connect to the board.

Bought to replace an igniter that appears to be failing and fires sporadically depending on the position of the ignition wire. I hooked up a new one, fairly easy install. You can hear the click that occurs when the detonator is about to detonate, but it never detonated. It's less reliable than the old detonator so I just plugged the old one back in. The wire on the new igniter is noticeably thinner, and I don't trust its quality.

My Atwood Water Heater #G6A-8E has stopped working. Gasoline flows, but there is no spark or not enough. Then I would close. When I used a small lighter (barbecue style) and flipped the heater switch, the heater lit up and worked fine but just wouldn't restart. A few questions were sent asking if it fits the model above and if it worked. This detail matched exactly what I had.
