Audio Outdoor Case IPod Clear Review

Very well built, durable and true to shape. Not waterproof but very close. The controls are actually easier to use with a case. I have a waterproof version of iRiver that I really like, this one is even better.

The case works well in rainy weather for running but is not suitable for regular use in dry weather - this is because the retaining slide is not accessible without opening the unit. The steering wheel works "well" when needed outdoors, but is inconvenient.

Why call the iPod case H20 Outdoor when it's NOT waterproof? I'm glad I only spent $7 on this item because I would be pissed if I spent the $80 it cost when it first came out. It's bulky, the wheel works erratically, and it's not waterproof. It would be easy to find a better case than this.

This looks like it will protect the iPod nano from dents and dirt. However, the product is bulky and feels like cheap plastic. The external scroll wheel/knob is very unstable; navigates menus and submenus jerkily, and I couldn't get it to adjust the volume while a song was playing. Unfortunately I will be returning it and will continue my search for a better cover/bandage.

I used this case to protect my Nano from bumps and accidental water while snowboarding for two years. I have some issues with the control lock button depending on how I wear my nano. In my pocket, I can accidentally activate the control buttons. When I use control lock, playback pauses if the headphone jack fails - then I have to open the box to disable control lock before I can resume playback.
