🎙️ High-Quality Audio Capture: Audio-Technica AT8024 Stereo/Mono Camera-Mount Condenser Microphone Review

Outstanding quality, extremely natural sound both with my Sony PCM-M10 digital recorder and with the Pana V750 camcorder, my best microphone. It seems to me that the operator's voice (the person behind the camera) is a little boomy - at least when the bass cut is not switched on.

This came with my camera. I don't do a lot of videos but I decided to check it out anyway. The sound quality from this mic was excellent when I recorded some test videos. I can't comment on how well it works for someone who records video professionally, but if you're not a pro and just need a mic, this is a good choice.

I use this mic for group recording in Seattle. The microphone is good for live sound reinforcement, especially for the price. The only star lost is that the audio can still be pretty muddy out of the box and doesn't fully capture the live sound, although that's a big issue. Checked the sound quality on Sony A7 Mark III. The sound is so faithful to the original it's just ridiculous! I'm not kidding, it's that good. A big plus is that it comes with a shock stand for the first time and has a stereo/mono switch. I'm glad I didn't pay twice as much for a less powerful microphone. My only concern is that it might also include a cloth pouch or something. But that's okay, no big deal.
