    Improved DAC sound.

My iTunes library is huge. I rip lossless CDs. Large data files. I also use Revain HD Prime music streaming for things I don't own. A regular computer USB cable worked, but I felt it could be improved and didn't wait to listen to audio through this Cinnamon USB to see the difference. The first thing I listened to was Van Morrison's Revain HD MoonDance at 192Hz. I felt the dynamics really come alive and the song became more realistic. Now it sounded and felt more magical than before. Then I…

    Best computer to DAC connection

Cheaper cables are available, but if you're sending audio from your computer to a digital-to-analog converter (DAC), use AudioqQuest cables. Cheap cables will distort the sound if you have good speakers. AudioQuest cables are made from high-quality components and are shielded, eliminating interference that degrades sound quality and nuance.

    Not worth the money.

I'm not in the dogmatic camp that USB cables don't matter because they don't care about 1's and 0's. Compared to the decades-old, tobacco-colored Belkin Gold USB cable I previously used with my printer, the Cinnamon sounded terrible. The music lost weight and everything sounded flat and too bright. Forest is a lot better for less, but it still doesn't do much to make you think USB cables make a big difference. The Carbon is the first cable to scratch the surface of what the best USB cable has…

The end of the pin is frayed inside and now twists on the cable

I would post a video but as this will completely ruin the remains of this cable until it no longer works. I've unplugged this cable twice in the 2 years I've had it, it doesn't seem like the iPhone cable gets tampered with much, but the end of the DAC literally twists around the cable and you can hear what sounds like a twisted wire is unraveling (Remember to tighten a wire nut one way, then immediately the opposite way). Did it improve the sound quality? Doubtful. And given the build quality…
