Sirius antenna extender

I needed to extend my Sirius radio antenna in my garage an additional 35 feet. It works great and gives me the best reception. I'm not sure if it's supposed to do that, but it has an amplifier to help the signal. Very satisfied with the product.

Pros
  • Wow
Cons
  • Could have gone for a newer model

Returned, not needed.

Purchased with Sirius Outdoor Radio antenna. The cable ends did not match the radio cable. Need an adapter. However, for $10 I bought a 20 foot R6 coaxial cable and it worked great. You also have a choice of white or black. I sent the cable back and I think the cheaper DIY cable worked great.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Hard to say

Problem solved! for audio and video accessories

Our problem is completely solved. Because of our home layout, we had trouble maintaining a quality signal. This antenna offers longer deployment times and has a built-in amplifier to avoid signal loss. We went from one signal band to three, which is the highest we've seen for our XM radio. Literally plug and play. Don't worry about signal interference anymore.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Not reliable

I found the sweet spot!

I hardly had an xm antenna in the attic. The cord wasn't long enough to move around to check different locations. The whole difference is testing different points for the best reception. I found a good middle ground and now no more fallout! Finally pure, uninterrupted music. Also visit the website to learn the best way to point the antenna based on your location (see attached photo).

Does not work with car antennas

Like most people who install Sirius radios outdoors, I've found that using the supplied car antenna actually works better than a directional home antenna (and it's unobtrusive). Note that this cable will not work. B. with car antennas, as these are usually L-shaped. This only works if the end of your antenna is straight. I don't know why it wasn't listed in the description. Also on the subject of water resistance. The instructions say to install in a specific direction. It looks like if…

Extended Antenna - Radio Antennas

later I'm not sure because I haven't figured out how to connect it. The schematic seems simple but the pictures don't look like my speaker dock that I use for my Sirius radio. I really want to find something to get a good signal for a smooth feed. I called Sirius but they didn't really help. They could have suggested a replacement if they knew the dock I have or should have known what it was since I had told them what the radio was called. I'm a little dissatisfied, but I keep trying to find a…

Will not work with car antennas

Like most people who install Sirius radios outdoors, I've found that using the included car antenna actually works better than a directional indoor antenna (and it's flat, too).
