Every time I cook pasta I have a hard time keeping it in the pot when I drain the water because I hate getting out the big colander to do it. This is the perfect solution! And it fits in my box.

Since these are stainless steel dryers, which are advertised in the kitchen for their durability, I assumed that they could at least tolerate a dishwasher. You know how your stainless steel spoons, forks and other utensils can withstand thousands of washes. Unfortunately, one cycle was enough for rust spots to appear on both. :-(

This colander has an oval handle instead of the round one which I initially bought and then returned. Much easier to hold. It also has grooves on both sides so it works with both right and left hands. Since my sink has a divider between the two sides, I prefer to hold the pot in my left hand and lean on the divider and strainer in my right hand. This filter works for that.

My mum had one in the 70's and 80's when I was a kid and we used it all the time! I want to remember the brand. When I saw this on Revain (and all of its competitors) I was hooked and bought it. It arrived and as soon as I unpacked it I could immediately feel how thin it was. The metal screen is so thin and bent. I also had to be careful when deleting. My mother had much better quality. I bet she's still there. Maybe I should have just borrowed it!
