You cannot do this alone.

You cannot be attracted to a chicken without help. I couldn't put them on without feeling like his neck was going to snap.

Pros
  • Outstanding overall performance
Cons
  • The list goes on.

So far, so good. good for hand tools

So far so good. The hens tried to scratch them as soon as I put them on, but they quickly got used to it. I've seen fewer signs of pecking and the feathers are starting to grow back.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Out of fashion

None of the packages had 100 Shores.

Works great but none of the bags had 100 Shores. We ordered 600 and it was only 88 shores in one pack. Luckily we have ordered more products, but if you only need 100 pieces you would be terribly annoyed if there weren't enough of them!

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Can't remember

It does not work. Fits pliers

Won't stretch, break. The pincers get in the way of the beak, causing it to close and make maneuvering difficult. Also, the uvula cut my chicken near her eye when she was shaking. It's not worth it if I have a blind and bleeding chicken.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Updates available

Works well to prevent feather picking

I found them easy to use and they did the job. Chickens grow feathers on their backs that are long gone. The birds don't seem to have any ill effects. I hope to remove them as more feathers grow.

Pros
  • Builds confidence
Cons
  • Security

Finally peace in my chicken coop!

Requires two people to install. Really works. A bully hen cannot attack other chickens because she cannot see them well enough to catch them. But she can still walk and fetch food and water. Causes no pain. Now it's quiet in the chicken coop.

Pros
  • Pliers
Cons
  • Available in black only

Difficult to apply but works as intended

A bunch broke trying to use them. But we only had to apply for one bird, so we had a lot of options. Doesn't come with instructions. After using it, I found that putting them in warm water to soften them before placing them on the bird helped solve this problem. I've cured my feather eater problem so I'm happy.

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
Cons
  • No power

Buyers Attention: One Style Only

It's disappointing that the pictures and description seemed to imply that the package contained a combination of styles (flat bar and rounded bar) but it was only flat so it was only a flatter comb worked for chickens. I'll have to order more with a rounded bridge elsewhere. There were no instructions, only pictures here. They were brittle and became more flexible when wet in warm water. You will need two people to do this - one to hold the bird and one to dress it. We were lucky, we hung them…

Pros
  • Hand Tools
Cons
  • Expensive
