I used sponges with a drill and Mother's Mag Polish to polish the cloudy plastic headlights and they did a great job. The headlights were very muddy and a replacement headlight assembly would have cost more than $500 to fit and labor. I'm amazed how clear the headlights are now, I feel a lot safer driving at night. I would buy this sponge set again if needed.

The price is ridiculously low for everything you get. Also, the listing doesn't mention that you also get two cotton polishing pads for fine mirror polishing. I used these foam pads to rebuild my frame. I used two orange pads to trim my 2.5ft front fenders and the areas I removed in the trunk, hood, etc. I eventually wore out one pad and moved on to the second orange one. I bought this pad set and used 2 pads (orange then blue) to polish and refinish the headlights on my 2004 Toyota 4runner. I used an old electric drill (higher speed than my cordless drill) and easily installed the adapter and velcro. I used Mequires paint cutter and orange then blue pads and within minutes the headlights looked new. I have used them for metal polishing, paint buffing and clear coat and headlight restoration. I usually do most of the work with an 8" buffer and use it to get bottlenecks or fine detail. This product has been used 'unconventionally' as it is intended for polishing cars. I tested this product for cleaning bathtubs and sinks. It worked like a charm. Within a day of receiving them, I waxed a lawn tractor, buffed misted headlights on my wife and grandson's cars, and removed an 8" x 8" black paint stain on my wife's car from a road contact meeting.
