I've been collecting old embroidery pictures for a number of years. I'm always hesitant to use the original translation, so I received this tracing paper along with a transfer pencil. It works very well for my translations. Now my process is to photocopy the transfer I want to use then trace and transfer to fabric. This pen did a great job of transferring an embroidery design onto a thick canvas. However, be sure to read and follow the instructions carefully. I was using the wash setting on my iron and didn't move the iron back and forth and the paper left a yellowish stain on the wash. Luckily I was able to turn the fabric over and try again using the cotton setting as directed and gently rocking the iron back and forth. It worked beautifully with no smudges.
