It is difficult to make precise contact to get jumping readings everywhere. In too many cases it is not possible to accurately confirm the KT of gold. Also, the probe is not durable and expensive to replace. I would like to add that the connections on the machine, for example plugging them into a socket, are very poorly made. You have to wiggle until you have constant contact. I bought it 2 years ago when I didn't know at all. WOULD NEVER SUGGEST IT, now I'm more aware.

I would like to return this item to Revain because it is not working. I've tried this several times over the last few months to no avail - I know the item is worth 14k but it registers as 10k. I've recalibrated it so many times that I'm so frustrated and I'm sorry I didn't read the reviews before making this expensive purchase. Can someone tell me how to get back? I followed the directions and even watched the video to see if I was doing something wrong.
