Best value for money

Compared to other hotspots on the market, this product offers impeccable performance at a great price. Competitors may have better branding and the like, but this article is comparable in functionality as I've used multiple brands. All features, in many cases 1/3 the price. I strongly encourage you to consider this article.

Essential for a cottage!

Preloaded with pi-star v3.4.17 on the included Sandisk Ultra 16GB card which was a pleasant surprise. MMDVM HS_HAT comes with firmware 1.4.7. The corresponding information sheet is included in the box. The device works fine after being set up on stock firmware. I upgraded to v4.1.3 pi-star and firmware v1.5.2 with no problems and the device continues to work great! Order it and download your digital modes.

Easy to install, good value for money

This neat little hotspot comes mostly configured out of the box. I followed the instructions and was up and running in about ten minutes, although I watched a few getting started videos on YouTube while waiting for delivery which probably helped. Rooms are far away. Works well with my HT as long as I'm in the same room and haven't tried going outside or through the house to test practical range. The screen is tiny but surprisingly easy to read.

Works best on CB and two way radios

I've started setting it up on my guest network (tired of vacationers wanting to use my wifi and spy apps on their phones). I forgot I isolated all the connections there (couldn't open the setup page) so I had to reflash the card and put it on the main card. After that, sailing went smoothly. I think I have a bad module

After setting up the Aursinc MMDVM hotspot for the first time, the hotspot worked fine when connected to my wireless router. When I added my smartphone as an additional hotspot, I was no longer able to access the configuration menu. After that nothing worked, not even the OLED display, and my router no longer shows the Pi Star hotspot in the device list.
