Stops working after 2 reboots

Device no longer works after 2 system restarts. I disabled it and reconfigured the device and it worked again, then rebooted a few more times and the same thing happened. I also tried this on another computer and encountered the same problems.

It's very small, connects to my desktop and can still close the cabinet door, but - see review.

, I'm using Windows 10 Pro, so I wanted to use this fingerprint reader to fix the problem where Microsoft keeps saying my passwords are invalid. So far I have it installed I think but so far I haven't been able to get it to work. Part of the problem is that Microsoft thinks I'm going to steal my own information. You can't talk to them as everyone knows to fix the problem, it only takes a few minutes but they seem to want to make it as difficult as possible because their time is more importantโ€ฆ

[UPDATED] The setup was weird, but it reads my fingerprint data like a pro! Super fast!

Update: This fingerprint scanner has a problem, it sometimes activates when the PC is LOCKED, sometimes not! Or maybe it actively looks for your finger on the scanner for 30 seconds after locking the PC, but then it essentially turns off and there's nothing you can do on the lock screen to turn it back on so it can read your fingerprint. So you have to unlock with your password! I checked in Device Manager that the scanner is NOT going to sleep to save power and the problem persists! My Windows
