Ratchet straps to tie down

I used these in my car trailer to hold my 66 GTO, one of them broke! But maybe they were cut because I had 2 of them wrapped around my bumper, I don't blame the manufacturer, it could have been me! I thought they would last but no! The hooks are excellent, the ratchet works well.

I want my money back DO NOT BUY

Belts cut themselves! Check out the other reviews, complete nonsense! The cost is double that of my old port trucks and my port freight is still doing well after 4 years. These belts have less than 200 miles on them! They all self-destruct because the adjustable triangular pieces are too sharp. DO NOT BUY.

SOMEONE COULD BE HURT!

About 100 miles outside of New York I was towing my early Bronco and all of these straps started to snap/cut in half right where the adjustable buckle and D-ring are. The buckles actually bisected the straps, and if I hadn't checked them so carefully, I could have lost the Bronco on the interstate and seriously injured someone. I highly recommend them if you plan on removing the metal buckles or someone might get hurt!

Poor design - straps

These straps in the photo are said to have been updated and claim that older models are prone to damage. I have the old style and after one use they broke trying to tighten them. Further examination of the remaining three belts showed that they were all very close to failure as well. I decided to give the company a second try as I liked the style and ease of use. But even after the replacement order indicated that I wanted the new style, they still sent me the old style. I then sent both…

Poor ratchet and cut on second use

Looked very valuable at first, but first use proved otherwise. Ratcheting was difficult, and upon closer inspection I found that the gears had burrs that prevented them from clicking smoothly. After the gears were punched, they had to be deburred. The second time the straps were used, one of them was badly cut. This was routed through the lower control arm at the front of the car. The protective cover and the strap were almost cut through (see photo). I have used other belts for many years and…

rubbish, pure rubbish. I have never been so disappointed with a product.

rubbish, pure rubbish. I gladly ordered them to tow my crawler tractor. When they arrived I was a bit worried about the softness of the material but decided to give it a try. During the first 45 miles, one of them wears out completely where it attaches to the hook. Within 100 miles I noticed my rig roll an inch or two as the speed changed. I'm glad I stopped by to see what's going on. Two more straps could be worn completely in half where they are attached to the hook from the factory. The guys

Good quality in tie-downs

I received 4 full crooked straps. The ratcheting mechanism is well built and the flexibility of the tire loop is good. I used these straps to tow and transport my car from Dallas to Houston. I threaded the loose end through the ferrule, made sure the ferrule was next to the tire, and hand tightened. I attached the ratchet to the trailer platform, slipped the free end through the slot and tightened. After everything was tightened, we drove the trailer for a short ride and rechecked the ratchet…

DEATH TRAPS are suitable for motorcyclists and racers

I would never recommend them to my worst enemy. They have to be tagged and picked up by Amazon, they are so awful I drove about 1 hour on my trip and had a break and half an hour after that a second break along with a third. Then, when I got to my destination, number 4 was about to burst. Luckily I still had my old frayed straps that I paid $50 for 5 years ago in the trailer box and used one or two to get there. However, all 4 straps broke in different places in different ways, this is absolute
