Works as intended. Great importance in maintaining clean air. It's strange that there is a snippet in RAM to install a filter, but that was never the case. My truck was built in 2013. Newer ones have a cabin filter ex works.

Why Ram chose NOT to put cabin air filters even on their 2012 Laramie models is insane. This kit worked well but the retaining clips needed improvement. I had to push hard for them to snap onto the AC unit. Driven 300 km and not dropped.

The product was relatively easy to install provided you know how to remove the glove box for access and how to use a Dremel tool to cut out the appropriate panel section. There were no installation instructions at all. Youtube helps.

My 2013 came without a cabin filter. This kit is for retrofitting. After cutting and fitting a hole, I could not insert the filter. The left side will go in and the right side will get in the way. It fits very well and the filter is thin so it folds easily. The case fitted well. I would return it but needed a lid to cover the hole I cut out.

A relatively new truck that came without a cabin air filter. You have to plan slowly (15-30) min and use a sharp office knife to make a hole for the filter. The OEM cap needs to be cut along the edge that matches the size of the filter, then insert the filter into the resulting hole followed by the new cap. Make sure the two tabs click into place. Now you have clean filtered air instead of dirt or even mold.
