Phenomenal mic for the money

We have been using these mics at my church for a number of years. They sound great and work as they should. They have slightly more pronounced bass and more subtle highs compared to the Countryman mics we've used in the past, which can be good or bad depending on your speaker's voice, but this certainly can't be remedied with a mic. a bit of EQ work if needed. They last as long as anything else I've had experience with (I'm an A/V pro with over a decade of experience) and they're cheap enough…

Excellent microphone. at an even higher price.

I bought a jefes-AvL 630 sh4 earhook to replace the one my pastor used at church which I didn't like. The type we had was heavier and quite awkward to use here. Now it does exactly what she wants because it feels good. It also makes her look a lot better. This gives me the sound I'm looking for as a sound engineer and meetings benefit from a very clear sermon. The device is very well programmed into our system case, which is another big plus. This device appears to be very well made and works…

Three years after it stopped working with very little use

Just three years after it stopped being used at all due to last year's pandemic, this mic stopped working. I've tried using it but it looks like the Shure connector has built up internal rust which is preventing the pins from working. During all this time, the device was properly stored. I used it less than 40 times total in the first 18 months and then it was in its proper packaging, sealed from dust and moisture. It must be the poor quality of the materials that is causing the metal parts to…

You get what you pay for.

Save yourself some time and hassle, pay a little more and buy a Shure Microflex MX153T/O-TQGI bought an Av-Jefes Avl-630 for some bucks over the $200 -Shure model I used earlier. Audio dropped out in less than a month. At first we assumed that we would receive interference. After a month of testing different microphone sets at different frequencies, we identified the Av-jefes Avl-630 as the problem. Other microphones connected to the same units will never be muted. Even though I could prove the

Sure you could spend a lot more

This is a great replacement for my Shure mic that died (it was a door crash. Don't ask). I was shocked to see how much it would cost to replace a proprietary microphone. This one was so much cheaper I almost bought it. But I decided the experiment was worth it. I can't tell the difference. It's well done. No popups or dropouts. It looks and feels great too. I don't use a windbreak and I don't have a problem with panting. My only complaint is that the actual mic ends up being slightly larger…

it's better than the mic it replaced

I'm shocked. For years we used an AT mic that cost almost four hundred dollars. We use the mic weekly and it lasted about six years and then died so we started looking for a replacement. My first choice was a high-end Countryman mic, but we don't have the budget for it right now, so I ordered this mic with the expectation that we'll use it temporarily until our audio budget can be increased. I was positively surprised. In terms of sound quality, it's better than the microphone it replaced. It…

Fantastic quality for public speaking

Fantastic quality for public speaking. I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to mics and at 1/4 the price of quality ear hooks I was concerned that the quality might not be good enough. But my fears were unfounded. The mic is excellent and with a little mid EQ the sound is crisp and clear. The output gain also seems spot on - powerful but not intrusive. Overall I would rate the sound quality of this model at 90% compared to the most professional versions on the market. A great buy for the…

This is about 10 levels higher than the included Shure Lavalier Mic

I purchased this headset for use with the Shure BLX14R/W93-H9 Wireless Presenter Rack Mount System with WL93, H9 Lavalier Mic. As for the sound quality, I have nothing but praise for this microphone. That's 10 steps above Shure's included lavalier mic. With a few EQ adjustments, I was able to get a clear, loud sound. I couldn't get the volume I wanted without feedback from the lavalier mic that came with the system, but I can crank the volume up with it and get no feedback. This is of course…
