Terrible Scissors!: Power Tools & Hand Tools

I bought these to cut a piece of fabric. I used kitchen scissors but they rubbed my hand so I bought them after reading the reviews. You are terrible! They won't cut any fabric no matter what they claim! The scissor smell was the worst! All the instructions were in Chinese and the smell was a strong chemical smell. I also tried washing them. I hate giving things back so it must be horrible if I do

Pros
  • Multipurpose: Airplane Scissors for Craftsmen. The blades are hot forged from molybdenum alloy steel and Autemper heat treated for maximum strength and durability. Beading, cans, cans and fasteners and specially designed for cutting hard materials, aluminum, sheet metal, plastic sheet, vinyl siding, cardboard, wire mesh, copper, leather, tile, rubber and roof tile. Coated with anti-corrosion oil, which is more rust-resistant and durable.
Cons
  • No Instructions

Very cheap material, broke in 6 months

For cutting thin sheet metal, thick wires and trimming the ends of nails. It worked fine at first, but wears out very quickly and loses sharpness. If you cut something today the handle will bend which makes them a lot less usable now they are basically garbage. If you're only using it for flimsy things like chicken wire or key rings, it should be fine. Don't get it if you really work beyond that. It won't last.

Pros
  • SAFETY AND HIGH PERFORMANCE: The metal fuse is between the strong handles. It's easy to open and close for a convenient security system. Automatic spring release for quick one-hand operation
Cons
  • Secret

women also sometimes need tin snips

I am a widow with adult children who live separately. A thick wire mesh had to be cut for a garden fence. I was familiar with these types of products on the farm growing up and then with my husband's profession. I knew this was what I needed. If it were good quality. Surprise! That! Cutting this screen is as easy as cutting paper with scissors. The only downside is that it's big and uncomfortable for my small hand. But don't worry, ladies. You will understand.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • A few little things

Many flaws, poorly tailored, not what I expected.

When I received the package the scissors were not in the plastic packaging. Somehow it was opened. They, too, were covered with some kind of slippery substance. I immediately noticed that one of the screws was too loose, so I tightened it and inspected the blades. That's when I discovered that they had a lot of flaws and it looks like a certain part of the blade is slightly broken. After trying them, they don't cut very well either.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cord shorter than others

Does what I needed (chicken grate)

Pros: Blade feels very strong, long enough to reach hard to reach places. I needed scissors to cut a lot of fine stitches for my garden. These are more than capable. I will use them for years until I lose them. Just note that the spring mechanism is slightly reworked. When you release the safety lock, you must hold the end of the handle. Not a deal breaker, just a note. The cutting end is good quality metal and I expect it will never need sharpening if I only use it to cut wire mesh.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
