Used to store the factory camera for the 2018 Nissan Altima SV

I used it to continue using the OEM rear camera with the 2018 Nissan Altima SV with Android stereo. The operating instructions provide brief information about the necessary connection, but that didn't help much. In the end it worked and I didn't have to install a second camera and do the nasty work of cutting wires etc.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Expandable

Important information below >

The wiring harness worked great on my 2018 Nissan Titan. If you are using a Pioneer receiver, make sure you connect the yellow RCA cable to the brown RCA jack on the back of the receiver; I think Pioneer chose to be special. An important tip for everyone, confirmed by speaking to Metro and testing in person: most receivers have a button function to activate the camera without engaging reverse gear. However, to use this function AND the reverse activation function, you need to change the wiring:

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Some Cons

Installed a Pioneer 1300NEX and used this cable to connect an OEM backup camera. Works well, no problems except that the steering wheel controls are not for the Sentra! You have to buy an additional module for $60, but I think I can do without it. Installation was easy by following the instructions (link to it in the product description).

Pros
  • Car AV installation
Cons
  • Minor issues

Perfect Fit for 2017 Sentra SR Turbo

One review says this does not work with 2017 Sentra SR Turbo Wiring Harness and is misleading but works great. I simply connected a 12v converter to my radio's wiring harness and reverse control, then plugged it directly into the car's stock wiring harness and within seconds my stock rear view camera was up and running in my aftermarket radio. Highly recommend for a quick and easy way to keep your stock camera.

Pros

Cons
  • Not Bad

It works but is ERROR

2014 Nissan Titan SV: Does what it says about keeping the factory camera BUT you have to buy the ASWC-1 to use the module. Then if you plan to keep the steering wheel control functionality you will need to buy another ASWC-1 and connect it separately so you have 2 identical units. I don't know why the manufacturer doesn't just sell the modules individually or in the format of 2 firmwares. Finally, as mentioned, if you're using an aftermarket stereo then you won't see any grid lines so they'reโ€ฆ

Works to connect a backup camera

This was just what I needed to connect a factory backup camera to a replacement receiver. However, the rest of the suspension was not for this car. I installed it on a 2012 Altima SL sedan with a factory Bose radio with no navigation. On this car, when you connect the axxess aswc-1, you connect a small wire harness to a completely different connector. And good luck getting the aswc-1 box working properly. I had to call tech support twice just to have them finally walk me through manuallyโ€ฆ
