This toy was purchased for a 2 year old child. Everything works great. The kid loves it. The volume is appropriate. There is actually a mode that allows you to "freestyle". Don't underestimate this feature. I've come across many children's toys that don't allow for full control over the music.

I love this little guitar! The guitar sounds and plays really cool and the music that accompanies it is really fun to listen to. I would like the Learn button to have more than just animal sounds and share either the animal or the color associated with the button, but that's fine. Most Einstein products have this, but this one lacked educational components. The lights and sounds are fun and my toddler loves it, it's light enough to carry around easily. I definitely recommend it!

Given to 2 year old grandson for their birthday due to positive reviews. He loved it from the minute it was unwrapped and insisted on taking it to bed! It plays real music in the form of long melodies, it can play along and bang the drum bar, or it can switch modes and play single notes to create a small melody. We wanted something musical for our child and since my husband plays guitar I thought he would enjoy it.
