Received as a gift so can't comment on ease of cleaning and durability. It's MUCH softer than the old duckbills we used 20 years ago when I had kids that age. These are by far the best baby bibs for sloppy eaters. That is, almost all babies and toddlers. Not good when they are just starting to sit up and eat because they are big and hard so it can be uncomfortable if baby leans forward. But once they sit longer, they cannot be defeated.
