Bad as a diaper

In my opinion these diapers were terrible, thick and bulky and never folded properly. However, they are excellent as inserts! They wick moisture very well when tri-folded and stuffed into the fit. However, even after several washes, ours had small holes in the seams. They still work well, but it's disappointing.

Pros
  • delivery was very quick
Cons
  • dull packaging

Good and bad diapers

I tried different brands of prepads because I wasn't sure what I would like. They were super absorbent, which I liked, but they were so tight they wouldn't fit my daughter and they were very bulky and the zippers didn't catch on the fabric, which I didn't like at all. I considered just getting a larger size but they are quite expensive so I went with flat diapers which have proven to be much better for me in the long run.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Not bad

Unlike other prefolds, no trimmer can use Snappies

I thought I'd spend a little more and buy some of these to add to my prefold collection, but I was disappointed that I spent the extra money have. Cons: It's no better, if not worse, than cotton panties. They seem to produce more sweat on the bottom than cotton pads. They are no neater than cotton, if not bulkier. Snappi is so frustrating that Snappi keeps slipping. Pros: They are soft, wash well and absorb well.

Super absorbent nappies are good for nappies

These are wonderfully absorbent nappies. They're a form-fitting, absorbent option for me. I even use them as my second choice for a night diaper. I put a Thirsties sleeve on them as Thirsties sleeves fit nice and snug. In the beginning (about 3 months ago) I considered the disadvantage that it is almost impossible to use Snappi to protect them. Now I don't mind since I only use a thick coat. But that's also why I didn't give a fifth star, as they're advertised as usable with Snappi and theโ€ฆ

That means serious business!

If I could give those six stars I would! I have tried standard cotton pleats and they are MUCH better. They are SUPER soft and EXTREMELY absorbent. My little fella is seriously wet, we've used these and when it came down to replacing him the outside was wet (compared to the pre-folded cotton which was soaked to the skin). I boiled them before using and then dried them. Tumble drying takes a long time (at least 2 hours) so it might be worth taking the time to buy a few extra ones so you can dryโ€ฆ

The BEST prefolds I've tried!

These prefolds are amazing! I am so so happy with them and they only seem to get better with age. It is by far the most absorbent I have ever tried. Their texture isn't the easiest to get hooked on Snappi (if you use them), but their excellent absorbency makes the extra effort worth it. At first I thought they were a bit pricey but after seeing their quality and durability I realized they are worth every penny spent! They're slow machine drying due to their amazing absorbency, so I onlyโ€ฆ

Excellent, but very chunky in the front.

I love using these pre-sleeves as a night diaper, but only as a night diaper. As expected, the hemp gets stiffer with each wash and since it's quite long, you have to fold it at the front. I don't like my kid sitting in it due to the rigidity and bulkiness in the front. I can tell it's digging into her stomach. Anyway, I bought these specifically as nighttime nappies, so I don't mind that they aren't very versatile for the kids' active time. They're difficult to use with Snappi, but not reallyโ€ฆ
