When I received this product I was surprised that it came with a set of puffer powder packs. This is very important because until I thought about the need to calibrate the meter, the manufacturer did it, so I don't have to worry about measurements. I also appreciate the carrying case to keep the meter safe and clean as I don't use it regularly. What impressed me even more was that the calibration showed that the device was very accurate.

Device received, taken out of box, device calibrated with calibration powder included, instructions followed provided. Shortly after, I tested the calibrated device on my tap water, knowing my city water supply is at 7.2 out of the tap. The instrument gave incorrect readings at pH 6.6. I bought this to measure pH in my aquariums (thought it would be easier than strips). I performed the calibration as instructed and the results are still inaccurate. The PH fluctuates quite a lot all the time and is higher than the test strips I usually use. I'm not sure if I set it correctly or if it's just not accurate, but I'm not very happy with it. Again, this could be 100% user error, but I can't confirm it as there were no additional packages to check.
