Works great even when used as a waterfall pump in a large goldfish pond. I run it directly from 2 solar panels. I connected a 15ft hose and the water drop is 8ft. I've tried it at 15ft and it works great, I don't have a ladder high enough to test its limits. I built the bottom into a foam block to keep dirt out.
