Good quiet pump.: Brewing

Quiet and powerful. It's not self-priming, but every brewer is used to it and that's not a problem. Pumped boiling water into the radiator in 30 minutes with no problems.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Hard to say

Meets task for brewing

I use this to transfer distilled water from a 6 gallon bottle to a 3 gallon bottle. It's much easier for me to pick up and bring to the house. It's quiet and only pumps about 1 GPM, which is what I wanted.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Exchange availability

Works great but remember the entrance

Great for home brewing. The only drawback is that there is no entry/exit marking. I fixed this by marking the triple clamp that is the exit, but the pump itself works great. As long as gravity pushes liquid into the pump, it will flow.

Pros
  • special offer
Cons
  • confused

Didn't work out of the box

I bought this item to clean my kegerator but when I took it out of the box to use it the Revain return window was already closed. When I tried to use the pump, it was NOT pumping water. It's hard to give this product a bad review as I'm assuming it's just an accidental defective product, but that leaves me no choice.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

smaller and quieter than chugger

ordered two of these pumps to replace the chugger pumps I used for home brewing. Chuggers started failing and LOUD. These pumps were well packaged and the fittings worked great with the existing valves. At first 1 pump worked without problems, but the other didn't. After a little chat with the manufacturer and just playing around with the impeller by hand, I was able to get the pump working. You are silent!

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Reliable quality construction at a low price

I've had this pump for a year and it has worked perfectly and I have a 3 year old Bacoeng pump that continues to work perfectly. People tend to write more about bad than good experiences with a product. I would have no hesitation in spending half the money on a future pump with Bacoeng. I've used both 100 times. It is important to realize that brew pumps are not self-priming. Install the pump low and hang it up to allow the air to escape and the pump to last much longer.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
