BAL 29054 Foot Tongue Jack Review

My parents got this for their reverse axle motorhome. That's the perfect height! They used to have to plug the hyoid bone with various objects. Now they only use the leg - a big improvement.

We bought this for our 29ft low caravan. We took it camping and it fit perfectly. It worked great and was really solid. It's hard to find a great PD with solid legs and this one has got you covered. We ordered this one and a smaller one to fit everywhere.

Purchased for a Jayco trailer with a custom off-road modification to add height to the tongue. My only complaint is that it didn't have a drain in the "leg" and had to drill a hole in the bottom to prevent it from filling with water.

This leg would have gotten 5 stars but for two issues. The pin hole is the wrong height to line up with the hole in the jack and there is no drain hole at the bottom of the tube. Both points have been commented on by others in the reviews, so this is a design issue and not a one off issue. Look at the photo how wide the hole is. If you don't have the tools to drill a 13/16 hole in heavy round tubing, go ahead.

Quite high compared to other similar ones. The problem was the notches that kept the jack tube from falling inward. This results in a fixed height. I cut 3" off the top to remove the indentations and then drilled 4 holes on each side 1.5" apart. This allows me to lower the jack to different heights depending on ground level and minimizes the number of turns it takes to raise the tongue.

My fifth wheel carriage is too short to use with my truck so I used 8x8 sized wooden blocks to park it. They were heavy and not very stable, and now they are starting to break down with age. These legs are high enough to work without blocks and seem to be holding the trailer well. As others have said this is a great jack extender but the holes do not match the existing holes on my 2015 Jayco 185RB Baja. Pros: - It's powerful. Beautiful, durable, black painted metal. Good choice for my pallet truck. I originally started with the Fastway Flip Fold-Up Foot Jack, but at only 6 inches it still requires a lot of cranking. Fits standard 2 inch diameter sockets.
