A great way to add a 12v socket that looks like the real thing. Used this socket to install a TPMS display for our Explorer.

Installed on the side of our motorhome, just what we needed. Good quality and works perfectly! I will buy another one for the other side.

Good looking, easy to install. Whatever it is, I have to wrap a rubber band around whatever I put in it to keep it in place or it will fall out. I think there must be some bushing or gasket that tightens the fit.

It may be waterproof, but it's not really waterproof. I didn't need this feature, I just wanted the body so it fit my needs, unfortunately the plug doesn't stay connected. Not a good product.

Installed on a special chain in my dad's road trailer. Works perfectly, easy installation in an invisible, easily accessible place. Now he can charge all his electronics and run a small inverter with them.

Easy to install on my expedition as an ignition switch socket for my navigation system. But not for inexperienced installers. It's big and I installed it on the passenger side of the inner step molding on the console under the dash. I like the lid that covers the outlet when not in use.

Just got it for a project. The first thing that struck me was how useless the DC outlet was. I've tried different types of accessories with this type of connector and none of them connect properly. Everything just pushes itself out and loses contact with the positive contact. One of my USB charging adapters literally just dangles in this port and only works if you push and hold it in. Speaking of which, the plastic case is great. Hooray

I use it as a 12v source on my 15 Suzuki WeeXT. After driving 2,500 miles including some showers both on the road and overnight I can say it definitely works. The twist-lock mechanism kept my GPS's power cord plugged in regardless of the road, even on coarse dirt and gravel (65 miles worth). The lid fits snugly and shows no signs of sun damage. I would definitely recommend it for semi-outdoor use on a motorcycle or even on a boat.
