My daughter went to kindergarten

Hello! I just wanted to tell you that my 17 month old daughter started kindergarten about a month ago and it took her a while to get used to it. She cried every day and it was so hard to leave her. The first week I sent her to school with one of your Bao Bao (red) books. Her teachers told me that the only way to calm her down was to play the book over and over again. She was happy to hear well-known songs, especially in Chinese. My daughter loves music and loves to be sung. This red book helped

When is the next one?!?

American born but fairly fluent in Mandarin I wasn't sure I would find any real value in this book as I regularly sing many of these songs to my daughter (2 years old). However, I was pleasantly surprised at how wonderful these books are for further enhancing those classic nursery rhymes by 1) providing pictures to illustrate song concepts that can be quite abstract at this age, 2) to help my daughter and I teach Chinese characters help for the lyrics (because I speak but can hardly read or…

Super Fun, Preschooler Tested, Mom Approved!

We just received it and opened this weekend. Conclusion: My preschooler loves it! For context: We are a Mandarin and Cantonese speaking family living in a predominantly English speaking environment and I am always looking for fun activities to help my children understand that Chinese can also be used for entertainment and not for entertainment. only talk to adults. My 3.5 year old loves to see the Chinese characters that he has started to learn and the English characters because he has started…

Our baby (and we!) love this book

We received this book when our baby was 6.5 months old. She listened to him with pleasure and immediately looked at the pictures. Now she is almost 13 months old and studies the book several times a day. She enjoys pressing buttons and flipping through pages, and even now she's starting to associate pages with the appropriate song button. She liked the book so much that we ended up putting it in her dressing room and she listens to it while we change her diaper and dress her - it helps her calm

A really special and unique book!

My first reaction to this book was, "Oh my god, how amazing! I wish I had had this book when my son was an infant/toddler!” Let me tell you why this book is so great - it's not just a book, it's: (1) a desk book; (2) song book with music and singing; (3) a book with some of the most popular Chinese nursery rhymes and translated American nursery rhymes that you all know; (4) interactive toys; and (5) a bilingual book in English, Chinese and Pinyin - all in one amazing book! What a wonderful…
