Shuts off normally (I have it in the down position) but doesn't stay closed even when tilted 45 degrees up. you have to shake It went through prototypes and testing, but 2 weeks after the cable was run in a cable duct, the switch failed.

Working well. It's very, very nice to have a floating point unit that has both types of logic. And at a reasonable price! I'm giving it 4 stars because a HUGE part of these things is their reliability as they are the main PITA to have replaced. Having been using it for less than 5 years I still have no reason to believe it is reliable.

For use with Packard C230B 30A 2 Pole Relay to control a well pump in a 2500 gallon collection tank. I have the float set at 18 inch weight and that gives me 1000 gallons per switch. I'm pumping 1200 feet and want to limit the on/off cycles as much as possible. Very happy with this product.

I bought these 3 years ago, with most float switches, if you limit the current they switch they will extended service life. I used a switch to turn on the transistor, very little current. This transistor drives a relay that controls a contactor. The contactor turns on the pump and fills the tank. Because I love redundancy, I have four instead of two. Price wise this switch beats the competition by offering NO and NC options - it can work to fill or empty the tank, whichever two of the three wires are connected. Wonderful.
