🔧 Baratza PortaHolder: Optimized Solution for Portafilter Integration Review

Weak plastic. The screws attaching the portholder to the case were terrible - they wobbled. I will never buy Baratza products again. I bought a Rocky grinder and it's fantastic - you get what you pay for.

My Silvia portafilter is a bit too big to work well. It's just easier to take the thing out and hold the carrier with your hands. There's also a lot less clutter.

I liked how it worked with the portafilter I owned, but I think I've gotten used to the greater convenience of our more expensive machine at the coffee shop I work at . But it definitely worked! and I could ram myself, very important!

I thought it was a little pricey and not a perfect design but it allows you to fill the portafilter without holding it and it really is. Solve some of the cleaning problems that come with not having one. I'm glad I bought it.

This tote was designed by Baratza, so there's no excuse for how poorly thought out it was. The coffee grounds are flying all over the place and I've found everything stays a lot cleaner just by holding my portafilter in hand. I expected a more efficient design from Baratza.

The forks are too narrow to fit in my Saeco portafilter and the height adjustment of the forks is too coarse and too far forward to fit the grinder run without messing up my entire kitchen countertop. As others have pointed out, the ground coffee will spill onto the portafilter, behind it, etc. Despite all the thought that goes into making very good grinders, you may feel that a little more effort needs to be put into the grinder's design . port holder.

When we received it there was no screw or part of it attached (the instructions didn't mention two parts to attach, only one). But a quick stop at the hardware store took care of that. It doesn't fit my portafilter exactly, but it's not really necessary as I can only hold it for the 10 seconds it takes to grind, so no big deal. So it does its job and I really like my chopper so will continue to use it but I'm not impressed with it.
