This is ideal for ice cream lovers. Ideal for breaking ice.

I love this item. I'm an icebreaker. I use this to break the ice into smaller pieces so I can suck on it. It is so easy. Just take a piece of ice in the palm of your hand and hit it lightly with a hammer. It doesn't hurt my hand and my ice is broken into smaller pieces. Perfect.

Pros
  • Bar and Wine Tools
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

Not strong enough for cold ice

It's not as important as I had hoped. When the ice is first taken out of the freezer it will not be strong enough to break the ice. We have found that when room temperature water is poured onto very cold ice, it "jumps out" and the sampler works perfectly. Considering what we wanted it for - our little dogs love ice cream but at their age they need smaller pieces. That extra step isn't a problem for us and we love it for the price, but if you wanted it for cocktails then taking that extra step…

Pros
  • Kitchen and dining room
Cons
  • Exorbitant price

It's good. for bar and wine tools

When it works, it works very well! I usually use big blocks of ice and this helps turn big cubes into smaller pieces when they don't fit in a glass. Also great for drinks that call for crushed ice. Works way better than just a bar spoon because it's flexible and really cuts through ice. As other users have reported, mine broke on first use. One of the small metal disks jumped out immediately, but comes back again very easily. This happens almost every time I use it. Definitely disappointing but

Pros
  • Barsets
Cons
  • Slightly torn
