Buy the strap separately but it's just the cleanest install. The buckles look great and you can change them up every day depending on what you're wearing. Why didn't I switch to this many years ago? It's easy enough to pull the strap out and insert it into another buckle. You can cut off the end of the strap that goes into the buckle after measuring your desired length (leave 1 inch for Thanksgiving).

I ordered 42 because I wear pants 40 Well it's a ratchet strap and the track doesn't start about 4 inches from the top of the strap. On a typical strap, the holes start about 1 inch or less from the tip. Basically a size 42 is a size 38. So you basically have to order a size 46 if you want a size 42!
