I used this for a 400GB SD card that gives easy access to my photo library without taking up all the space on my internal hard drive. This usually works great, but if my laptop battery dies before I turn off the computer, when I plug the laptop back in, the SD card becomes inaccessible until I restart the device.

Max didn't recognize the hard drive and asked to initiate, after trying to reformat the hard drive, he couldn't find it. Tried another SD card, found nothing. Used the disc up until then and didn't show the disc. Inserting an SD card was incredibly difficult from the start, and I was afraid it wouldn't even be readable. If it worked it would be 5/5. But that's not the case.

I had a small USB flash drive but it kept popping out when I put my laptop in my bag and took it out. It resides permanently in my laptop and when combined with a microSD card has functionally increased disk space by 50%. It's a little difficult to remove my camera's SD card when I've had to swap it out a few times to take photos, but it makes me realize it'll never slip out later.

Works as expected. Out of sight out of mind. I'm currently just using an 8GB micro SD test card to see if Mac OS shows erase/improper shutdown errors. So far it has crashed 2 times: once when I switched user accounts and the other at shutdown/booting. Both were in daily use in the first week. Since then, sleeping, shutting down, switching users and the like are no longer a problem. I have a first aid session with the card every week and no issues so I'm optimistic it will work long term.

Product works well, no problems. does what it says There is probably a millimeter sticking out on the case, but that will never get caught or become a problem. That's why I didn't rate it a 4. If you let your MacBook die completely, you may need to reboot to regain access to your drive. But as long as you don't let it die completely, you don't have to reboot to use it. Great item. Paired with a Samsung EVO+ 256GB microSD card, I efficiently and seamlessly doubled the storage space on my Mac (which felt pretty limited). Firstly, the item that the "Qi Ji" company sent me was in an open box (see picture), although the money I paid was for a brand new item. Star "0" for honesty.
