Product works well, no problems. does what it says There is probably a millimeter sticking out on the case, but that will never get caught or become a problem. That's why I didn't rate it a 4. If you let your MacBook die completely, you may need to reboot to regain access to your drive. But as long as you don't let it die completely, you don't have to reboot to use it. Sleep mode and closing the lid don't bother at all. Highly recommended. I would recommend getting a high quality SD card like SanDisk. I'm using a SanDisk Ultra Plus 400GB microSDXC card.
