Great device, great price.

Simplest USB 8-Port KVM Switch, $56.99. Works great, use it on 8 servers, no problems at all. The mini USB remote control is very handy when there is a keyboard/monitor nearby, the cable is about 6.5ft long. Apparently the same device as other more expensive brands. The button LEDs are bright red, which I like, and there's a standard beep when you switch machines, which I like too. There is no separate power supply as it is powered by connected machines via the USB port. Supplied with rack ears

Pros
  • Supports multiple platforms: DOS, Win3.X, Win95/98/98SE/2000/ME/XP, WinNT, Netware, Unix and Linux.
Cons
  • Security

Cheap or inexpensive.

Bought for my workbench. This block works about 40% of the time, the rest of the time it goes back to port 1, no matter what ports are active, no matter what key you press, it just wants to use port 1. When it works, it works well, but when it doesn't, it will upset you.

Pros
  • Convenient and easy management of up to 8 computers with a single mouse, keyboard and VGA monitor. Bright LED display to show the status of the controlled PC.
Cons
  • Some cons

An excellent solution for this money.

Find another USB and VGA 8-port KVM for less than $100. - Okay, I found two more here on Amazon that look pretty much the same. I bought this one and I don't regret it. - RED LEDs are a bit confusing. (Red/Yellow = error or problem) Any color other than yellow is acceptable. - Blue would be perfect, green too. Plus it works and it's cheap.

Pros
  • HighCaliber, unrivaled video resolution up to 1920 x 1440 and 250MHz bandwidth
Cons
  • Great Price

Love the design, features and low price. However, not all ports work with my Intel NUCs. Some seem to let the monitor sleep while others work fine (after switching). It could be something with my NUC/driver, but since this is the second one I've tried (the first one didn't work at all - another "vendor" with a copy product) - I'm hesitant to fully specify one or the other Miscellaneous. Everything is "ok" at the moment - I'll keep working on it with different scenarios to see where the problems

Pros
  • No software required; Select the PC you want with the handy buttons.
Cons
  • No Automatic

works perfectly! Best of KVM Switches

Excellent quality. If it continues to work like id out of the box and doesn't have unseen bugs that cause problems in the future, then it's incredible value. I connected 3 computers and the small portable remote (wired) solves the problem I needed. fix it and let me place 5 more systems in this room.

Pros
  • The simplest 8-port KVM switch has a compact, lightweight design and is easy to carry for on-the-go use.
Cons
  • Not sure
