Falling apart on the bath and bath accessory

I have to say I really wanted to like this sponge and ordered it hoping that the few reviews about falling apart were exaggerated. Unfortunately, this was not the case. One person recommended cutting it in half so I have another if I need to replace the first half. I didn't have to cut it in half because after a few weeks of use it almost cut itself in half and the pieces fell down my shower drain. Well, live and learn.

Pros
  • Bath accessory
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Non-wool sponge suitable for bath and bath accessories

Warning I received a much less durable "yellow" sponge, not the real "wool" sponge that will be advertised soon. The sponge crumbled into small pieces all over immediately after one wetting. Just got back from a trip to Tarpon Springs where they collect different types of sponges. I came as a hoe with a yellow and wool sponge and wanted another wool sponge. Even my 11 year old daughter can clearly tell a yellow sponge from a wool sponge. There we learned that the yellow sponge lasts 1-2 yearsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • test for one year
Cons
  • quality

and it was a great decision to give up the plastic sponge

So far I like it! I appreciate how soft it is and it was a great decision to omit the plastic sponge. To be honest I was surprised that it is so soft since it's my first time using sea wool. The X-Large is not too big. It is big enough for a comfortable grip when lathering the body and creates a nice lather. I'm petite and I think it's better than a smaller one that doesn't cover well. A tiny piece of sponge fell off after using them for about a week, so I'll keep an eye on how durable theyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to use

  • Slightly wrinkled

Big, soft, beautiful shape!

I like the shape and size of this sponge! I was pleasantly surprised after receiving some others that were disappointing. I've used it several times and it seems to be holding up well. If anything changes, I will edit my review. I will say one thing though: there seemed to be a lot of sharp "sea debris" in this one. I spent about 10 minutes soaking it in the shell and pulling out a lot of shell fragments and anything that grows in sea sponges. I even found a cute little snail shell. The extraโ€ฆ

A sponge with no wool is best for personal hygiene

Beware I got a much less durable "yellow" sponge, not the real "wool" being advertised shortly. The sponge crumbled into small pieces all over immediately after one wetting.
