I bought these for an unfinished project I'm doing and they are just perfect! i love the length My favorite part is the remote aspect with the timer button, it makes it sooooo easy to use as I'm going to hide the battery compartment. The color is a lovely purple when it's on, and when it's off it's just a lovely silver color. I can't wait to buy them in pink next time!

We used them as part of our wedding arch. We wrapped the light around the structure and then draped fabric over it. The lights were bright enough to glow, leaving points of light in their wake. It was a very good effect. When I bought them I figured the bulbs would flicker randomly, but they don't. The whole line flashes at once. The cable is easy to break, but also easy to repair (cut the wires, burn the coating with a lighter, twist them again and seal with heat shrink tubing or electrical tape). I advise against buying these lights! After only being in my daughter's bedroom for two days, they never stopped making a buzzing noise when she went to bed at night. She went over to touch the controller to make sure the battery was good, and it was. She then went to adjust the string of lights to see why it was buzzing and it hit her finger so hard it's been a day and the finger still hurts! I've paid more for it at stores. So it came packed in a box. The wire is smooth, not sharp or anything like others I've come across. The lights you don't know what color they are until you turn them on, I ordered blue and the correct color came. Hang them up when you're in a patient mood without your kids.
