Ideal for large grain bills!

After reading the reviews, I was a little concerned whether the welding would go bad or not. Haven't had any problems with mine so far. I prefer to brew beer with fairly coarse grist and this has proven incredibly helpful when blending 15 pounds of grain.

Pros
  • Gives a comfortable feeling
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Great for brewing but one mistake

Husband said it was just what he needed for brewing. One problem is that there is a hole in the weld at the end of the blade and liquid can get into the handle. So far this hasn't been a real issue and it's probably just a bug in our standalone product, but others should be aware.

Pros
  • Excellently done
Cons
  • All great

Huge but just what I need

The photo doesn't do this paddle justice but it's quite large but it's just what I need to stir the mash in a large cauldron. The first thing I checked were the welds. They weren't perfect, but they didn't have any punctures that would have allowed the item to get a grip and I couldn't do better, so "good enough" for me.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Negative impression

OK but the welds could be better

great size and material. I didn't realize he had a bottle opener. Almost perfect for brewing yourself. That's good, but there's a problem. The welding on the spoon was poor and there are holes leading to the blade. The problem is using this in a sterile environment i.e. in the fermenter. It may contain liquid that insects can grow in and spoil the beer. Although this is not a problem for a boil.

More suitable than a spoon for cooking seasoning.

This is for stirring the seasoning in my 10 gallon saucepan. Works as it should. amateur skill. The spatula and bottle opener are welded to the handle at an angle. A nifty trick I've thought of is to thread the grain bag knot through the end of the bottle opener and balance the spoon on the rim of the pot to hang the grain bag over the bottom surface of the pot. With the lid on top it stays pretty stable. At the end of the grain steep paddle grb and pull the bag.

Pros
  • Complete Set
Cons
  • Incredible Piggy Bank

I thought this was a great paddle!

I like it. The perfect size for stirring the contents of a 5.6 gallon or larger bucket that I will be using it for. It's pretty durable and looks good. I like a bottle opener, but who needs one now. I use the hole to hang it. Welds were ok. The one around the paddle was really good but the one around the bottle opener was a little sloppy but I didn't see the grip holes and the penetration was good so not a problem for me especially at this fair price. I think it's worth the price paid for it…

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Makes me angry
