If you want to keep your hair buy these. This is about the 5th or 6th time I've bought these because they lose their shape with time and use. I don't know if they're actually satin, but they slide out of the hair easily.

UPDATE: STILL WORTH IT! I bought these in January, it's now September and I've just started using the 3rd of 10. I use them every day and although they stretch they are great value for money! One I over pulled and the rubber band broke, the second I used for a few months and finally decided to throw it away and pull out another one to use. This is horror! They are very tight and break every time I try to use them. That's probably why they give you so much in one pack. The last set I bought only had 5 pieces but they lasted over 5 years. Every night I put my hair in a pineapple and each gave me about 3 uses. I don't usually write reviews but this was so awful I had to. They smell horrible out of the box. The smell may appear after a while, but it is very strong. If the smell came out I could be more lenient, but the fabric is not satin or silky. I do not know what that is. It feels cheap and plasticky, and also a bit tacky - not smooth and silky at all. I would definitely not buy again. I wish I could return them. I'll probably just throw them away.

Elastic band is thick, durable and strong! I rarely have to tie my ponytail during the day. The only downside (and it's probably my fault) is that the material comes off quickly BUT I wear mine on my wrist 24/7 when I'm not using it.

Came in one day. The elastic is strong, the stitching is neat and beautiful. I took it off the tail and not a single hair got caught. I love the value for money.
