Through trial and error, I found that these "sterling" wires tarnished easily and didn't hold their shape well. The promised 18 gauge thickness was also inconsistent.

Very strong! I needed pliers to pry them open, but any strong ring should be like this! If you're complaining about it, then obviously you're not worried about losing your charm on your bracelet or necklace. But I really like them and they don't discolor very easily but I still recommend putting tape on 2 pins just in case.

I needed strong jump rings that didn't open easily and seeing them with locking technology was new to me. With other jump rings, I could hold them with my non-primary fingers while opening them with pliers. With them I have to use two pincers to maneuver one of them.
