I replaced the o-ring and it worked fine

The o-ring was a bit small to fit snugly on my 1988 van but after the o-ring replacement cost me less than $4 , was the repair / The seal was tight and not leaking.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • There are problems

Good product (Toyota Corolla 1991)

Did everything it was supposed to do and no more. The fit was perfect, the gasket seals as it should and the operating temperature was exactly as it should be. Good price for a good item.

Pros
  • Engine Cooling and Air Conditioning
Cons
  • No Instructions

Basic design features included.

This was a gasket that is slightly smaller, not "swollen" enough to hold tight when installed. I removed the gasket from the failed thermostat which was slightly larger and thicker. I did not use the gasket that came with this product. And it made the landing very tight. With these cars it's important to have a "bubbler" or "ratchet" thermostat or whatever you want to call it and this previous owner fitted the cheapest thermostat he could find, all around was solid and air bubbles were blocked…

Pros
  • Thermostats
Cons
  • Hard to tell
