Working but not as pictured

Working but not as pictured. I don't use it on my rebuilt 280z because it doesn't look like stock, but I use it on a modified Z instead of your stock look, don't buy it.

  • Security

Corrects 240z readings with low or no oil pressure.

Perfect for my 1972 Datsun 240z. My gauge didn't show any oil pressure, that was the first thing to fix and for me that was the culprit. Installation on a standard L24 took less than 5 minutes.

  • Automotive
Cons

Really works in my 72 Datsun

My previous oil pressure gauge was a direct fit model straight from Japan. My dash oil pressure gauge never read the right pressure and since it's over 50 years old I assumed that was the problem. Installs a new sensor from BA and Bingo! My blood pressure is now showing a solid 40-45 at speed.

Pros
  • Switch
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Replaced by 72' Datsun 240z

Worked great on my 72' Datsun 240z. To check if it is a sensor or connector: turn on the key, unplug the cable from the connector and touch it on the ground. If the pressure gauge flies too high pressure, it is a transmission lock. If the gauge isn't doing anything, then it's a gauge. Don't leave it grounded for too long (more than 3-4 seconds) or you could burn your sensor. then you need both!
