BECKARNLEY 045 0401 CRANKCASE VENT VALVE Review

My '06 Range Rover started smoking heavily from the exhaust and at first I thought it was something serious. Some research led me to this PCV valve as a possible problem. 1 day and less than $50 later and the smoking problem is gone and it works better than it has in a long time. I'm not sure of the correct oil drain interval, but it's so cheap and easy to replace that 50,000 miles seems reasonable.

Our 4.4 liter LR3 started smoking on startup. It will go away. But then it got much worse, and that affected performance. Replacing this valve fixed the problem and now we have no more smoking problems. We tuned the car a few days after the repair because the oil leaking from that valve actually fouled at least one of the spark plugs.

Brand new and bad. filled the exhaust with oil. Replaced only to perform routine maintenance. And then the whole garage had to go up in smoke in a few hours, put the old one back in place and drive for some time to clean the old oil. Gave the second start because after returning the item they at least refunded the $. but save time and hassle and only buy OEM. After I bought, I read on other forums that I shouldn't buy the Beckarnley brand. but other parts for other cars they make aren't bad…

When I purchased this part two years ago, I received a product made in the USA. I received my order yesterday and it was made in China. I was still using it but the machine started smoking after running for about 20 minutes. I sent this one back and ordered another one. When purchasing one of these valves, be sure to select the one with the directional arrow molded into plastic. The US made one had this arrow and worked great for two years. I only switch as a precaution.
