🛏️ Soft Heavy Plush Mink Blanket - Bedford Home Beige - Solid Color - 8 Pound Weight Review

The comforter I received was definitely not Bedford Home Solid Soft Heavy Thick Plush Mink. The blanket I received was made by Lavish Homes. This blanket was more like a lightweight plus size blanket. I have a homemade Bedford blanket that actually weighs about 8 pounds. It's not like this! I'm still sending it back because it's not what I expected. So disappointed.

That was a disappointment. After 2 months of waiting it finally arrived. The color is gorgeous and that's the only thing I like about it. It's rather small, somewhere between twin and full. hair weight over 5 pounds. I have a cat that weighs more than this blanket. It will keep me warm in the cold Alaskan winters and I hope a few tumbles in the washing machine will soften it up. Otherwise it's pretty rude.

I was afraid this blanket would be too big. Too heavy. Too bulky. But that's not the case. Yes, it's big, but you can unfold it to full size to reduce weight or fold it up to add weight. At night when I'm really anxious I fold it in half and use it over my comforter. The weight is perfect and relaxes me enough to sleep. It's not too warm even in double form. I love the texture - it's more like thick, crumpled velvet than mink. He's super soft! I have recommended this blanket to several friends.

Not sure if 8lb is the weight class for duvets as I've seen a few duvets but was expecting a duvet that which weighs 8 pounds. It seemed to me that it was lighter than I expected, so I weighed it, put it in my bag and used the luggage scale. It only weighed 6.5 pounds. This is a very nice large blanket but definitely not as weighted as I expected. It's quite thin, so I think the weight the company is referring to is due to the sheer size of the blanket. It completely covers my double bed like a blanket. The duvet is thin but warm like a real duvet.
