I bought this to replace an old worn out key fob shell on my 2015 Cadillac Escalade ESV. As can be seen in the photos, the molding with the outer keypad is too thick and protrudes into the key fob (on the right is the original half-housing, on the left is the new half-housing). This means the rest of the insides will not fit and the key fob will not snap into place. Just don't buy.

Ideal to use external parts instead of my factory ones as the knobs were very worn. I did not cut or program the key. Only used it to keep the outer shell looking like new and that alone was worth the money. It would have been nice if it was a bit heavier than the original, although its durability might become an issue in the future in terms of durability. Original sterling silver keychains are made of aluminum while this one is entirely made of plastic.

The unit I received appears to be the same as the more expensive offerings I've seen, really didn't want to stay together very well. I was expecting it to be less premium quality than a compromise at a lower price but as I put it together I felt like a good drop would tear it apart while the OE is durable and can take a lot more abuse can. A replacement would be nice, but I wouldn't want to use it every day and risk damaging the electronics inside if it falls apart.
